    Hi Great that we have sandbox for Hyper-v but it looks like there is a problem with PIG referencing any JAR file

    Even piggybank.jar
    REGISTER piggybank.jar
    2014-06-26 03:16:56,060 [main] ERROR org.apache.pig.tools.grunt.Grunt – ERROR 101: file ‘piggybank.jar’ does not exist.

    any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Seb,
    Please make sure you have piggybank.jar in /usr/lib/pig on the sandbox. You can try the following:

    -cd /usr/lib/pig
    -launch grunt shell
    -REGISTER piggybank.jar

    Hi,
    I have deployed Hadoop ecosystem using apache ambari. I am facing the same problem.

    grunt> REGISTER piggybank.jar;
    2014-09-23 16:49:03,880 [main] INFO org.apache.hadoop.conf.Configuration.deprecation – fs.default.name is deprecated. Instead, use fs.defaultFS
    2014-09-23 16:49:03,919 [main] ERROR org.apache.pig.tools.grunt.Grunt – ERROR 101: file ‘piggybank.jar’ does not exist.
    Details at logfile: /root/pig_1411471132022.log

    I have checked /usr/lib/pig “piggybank.jar” does exist over there. Please advise.
