I’ve downloaded and installed the new Sandbox HDP Bombardier2 for Virtual Box, but when I attempt to start it I get the following error message and it fails to start:

Failed to Open a Session for the virtual machine Sandbox HDP Bombardier2
VT-x features locked or unavailable in MSR.

    Result Code:
    E_FAIL (0x80004005)

    Hi Damian,

This error is usually caused when hardware acceleration is not enabled in the BIOS of your host machine. Can you please check to make sure that virtualization is enabled?

    Hope this helps,

    Damian Holroyd

    Hi Seth,

Yes you were right it was down to he virtualisation settings in the bios not being enabled.
