    My ambari version is 1.6.1 and hdp version is 2.1 and have config with kerberos.But now I can not use hive normal.In hiveserver2.log it shows some errors frequently:2014-07-30 17:05:33,104 ERROR [pool-5-thread-4]: server.TThreadPoolServer ( – Error occurred during processing of message.

    and if I want to use beeline such as

    Error: Could not open connection to jdbc:hive2:// Peer indicated failure: Unsupported mechanism type PLAIN (state=08S01,code=0)

    Is there anyone help me?

    The same issue with our setup as well, using ambari agent 1.6.1 with HDP 2.1


    Even I got the same issue when using Ambari 1.6.1. Please help Quan and me.
