    Hi guys,

Should name node have direct access to dfs.namenode.checkpoint.dir when using -importCheckpoint option? If yes should we put this directory on NFS so it can be accessible from both name node and secondary name node?

    Hi Majid,

Yes, you are correct, the namenode and secondarynamenode both need direct access to this directory, so NFS is a good option.

    Hope this helps,
