Is there any way to run Spark on sandbox 2.0 using Yarn ?
Are there or could you provide any resources about that task ?

    Many Thanks

    Hi,
I have had good luck getting Spark to work with HDP. Can you outline the exact problem you are facing?
I also have a VM with HDP guide: docs.sigmoidanalytics.com/index.php/How_to_Install_Spark_on_HortonWorks_VM
VM is also thr but its half baked, can you tell me what is the exact problem you are facing in following this guide.
    Regards
    Mayur

    Hi Horton Team,

I am sure you are all aware by now Spark is now out of the incubator stage.

I’d really like to see this project ship with HDP.

Another dev at our company got it to work inside the HDP2 sandbox. It took him nearly a day to get it working.
I do not know if everything is working but it can be compiled against HDP2 and it does work at least rudimentary.

I can’t provide you with a tutorial or a working jar, but I can tell you that you won’t wast your time if you look into it ;-)

    Hi Paolo,

As far as I am aware Spark has not been fully endorsed by the Apache Software Foundation.
Therefore it is not included as part of the Hortonworks Data Platform.
You can try and get it working on top of HDP 2.0 however I think you will find limited information on it available.

    Thanks

    Dave
