    Hi,

I am facing an issue related to SQOOP while importing data from SQL Server using Integrated Authentication.

Below is the code I am executing

    sqoop import –connect “jdbc:sqlserver://MyMatrixLp-SQL2:1433;integratedSecurity=true;database=AdventureWorks2012″ –table DatabaseLog -m 1 –target-dir /w3c/AdventureWorks

It fails with error – The driver is not configured for integrated Authentication. How do I resolve this error?

    Below is the output snippet:
    13/07/04 04:14:46 INFO orm.CompilationManager: Writing jar file: \tmp\sqoop-surajitd\compile9297735da0feaed8e39912e18c2dce0\DatabaseLog.jar

    Hi TT,
I believe this is not an issue with sqoop but rather the driver. I believe you will need a driver for linux:

    1. Use datadirect drivers which supports it (http://blogs.datadirect.com/2011/04/windows-authentication-to-sql-server-from-unixlinux.html)

    Hope that helps.

    Robert

    Hi,

I am having problem with importing data from SQL Server using Integrated Authentication. My HDP platform is unix.

    sqoop import –connect ‘jdbc:sqlserver://172.16.105.12\MSSQL2008R2;database=TestDW;integratedSecurity=true;’ –table customer -m 1 –hive-import
Status: I got the below exception
WARNING: Failed to load the sqljdbc_auth.dll cause : no sqljdbc_auth in java.library.path
13/07/22 17:49:21 ERROR manager.SqlManager: Error executing statement: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: This driver is not configured for integrated authentication. ..

Is there anyway to execute sqoop command?

    Thanks.

    Hi Debarchan,

Were you running Sqoop from HDP on Linux or Windows? My guess is the driver wants to use NTLM or something similar. On Linux I’m not sure this would work but there may be a 3rd party proxy product you could use to perform the authentication for you. Can you give a bit more detail?
