tez hanging

  • #58300

we have enabled tez and we can run simple queries but when we run anything complex we get this error

org.apache.tez.dag.api.DAGSubmissionTimedOut: Could not submit DAG to Tez Session, timed out after 120 seconds

I see these two values for tez timeout in tez-site.xml… and i have increased them, but i still get the same error, and neither of these settings is = 120 seconds

Do you happen to know how i can increase the tez timeout to > 120 seconds and/or why tez is hanging ????
