Hortonworks Sandbox Forum

using json files with PIG

  • #41550

    Hi there ,
    I’m trying to run some POC with your great sandbox.

    So my raw data is multiple json files zipped to one file ,
    the json files are nested so I’m trying to use twitter’s elephant – bird .

    for some reason I always get “Input(s): Successfully read 0 records…” as a result.
    even if I try to use a single not zipped json file as an input I get the same result.

    what should be my best practice here and do you have some documentation for working with json files?

    Thank you very much
