    Faild to open a session for the virtual machine hortonworks sandbox 1.3

    VT-x features locked or unavailable in msr
    E_FAIL (0x80004005)

    above error showing when ever i run the virtual box .kindly help me

    Your processor looks like it does support VT-x, although running the tools found on that other page still might not hurt, they may at least give you other error messages to look into. You can try these, but honestly I don’t expect then to report anything abnormal

    The other possibility is that it could be turned off in your BIOS. Here’s two links, the first describes how to enable virtualization in your BIOS, the second is just an example of what to look for.

    Verify that and if you’re still having problems come back here.

    VT-x is Intel’s Virtualization Technology. If the error is reporting that it is unavailable then you may not be able to run the sandbox at all, not on that computer at least. There are some links and resources in this thread that you may want to take a look at

    Can you give us the exact model of your processor? That will probably help with troubleshooting.
