Howdy– i am brand new to the forums here and just getting started– i want to ask: What is the best or “Ideal” distro of Linux to have and use if starting from scratch with no prior restrictions at all– the one that Hortonworks would use on their own machines when they build hadoop clusters or recommends as a best practice?? Is it Ubuntu or what ?? I have read a good bit that Open BSD is widely regarded as the most secure OS in the world– is that a good choice ?? I am grateful for any help or reply at all && kind regards, mark-p.
