Broad Range of Deployment Options

HDP provides the broadest range of deployment options for Hadoop: from Windows Server or Linux to virtualized Cloud deployments. It is the most portable Hadoop distribution, allowing you to easily and reliably migrate from one deployment type to another. SAS has also launched a new cloud offering, SAS Cloud Analytics. With Hortonworks and SAS, you have the right partner to meet future cloud deployment needs. Hortonworks also provides automated capabilities for backup to Microsoft Azure and Amazon S3, for a seamless recovery strategy for customers’ enterprise data.

HDF and SAS ESP – Advanced Analytics for Data In Motion

By integrating SAS Event Stream Processing (ESP) with Hortonworks Data Flow (HDF), from the Data Center to the Edge and back, an enterprise can enable Modern Data Applications by incorporating Complex Event Processing (CEP) into their data flows.

How Can Streaming Analytics Help My Organization?

  • Cyber Security – identify a malicious intrusion before or as it occurs
  • Fraud – analyze streaming transactions to determine which needs immediate attention
  • Predictive Maintenance – predict outlier conditions from streaming machine and sensor data
  • Customer Experience and Marketing – use streaming data insights to personalize interactions
  • Stream Data Management – transform and clean data in motion, storing only what you need

HDP Certifications

HDP - HDP Certified badge indicates this partner’s solution has been certified to work with HDP; reviewed for architectural best practices and validated against a comprehensive suite of integration test cases, benchmarked for scale under varied workloads and comprehensively documented.

HDF - HDF provides the ability to collect data from different data sources, mediate and curate the data, and provide insight for Data In Motion. The HDF Certified badge is earned by partners with certified integrations with HDF.

Yarn Ready - Apache Hadoop YARN is the data operating system for Hadoop 2. YARN Ready certification recognizes applications that integrate with YARN and process data via pushdown computation to the cluster. Examples of a YARN ready solution includes an application that has native YARN application master or leverages scale-out capabilities of the platform like Hive, Spark and MR2.

Operations Ready - Apache Ambari is the open source management fabric for Hadoop. Operations Ready certification recognizes applications that can either be deployed or managed via Ambari or integrate with Ambari's APIs.
