Automotive User Group Meetup

The inaugural Automotive User Group Meetup at the Hadoop Summit in Dublin, Ireland kicks off Tuesday, April 12th. Please RSVP by Friday, 25 March, 2016!

You can register for the meetup here (use the password vroom). The first few registrations will also get passes to Hadoop Summit in Dublin.

 The meetup will be filled with presentations, demos, round table discussions, and networking amongst fellow business and IT decision makers and thought leaders from all corners of the automotive ecosystem, including automakers and suppliers in Europe and the US.

Grant Bodley, GM of Industry Solutions at Hortonworks, will kick off the meeting with the goals and objectives of the Automotive User Group and share key insights on Data Driven Automotive Transformation and high impact use cases in operations at scale.

Jamie Engesser, VP & GM of Emerging Products at Hortonworks, will present key insights on Hortonworks Solutions for Automotive and the Connected Car, including IoT integration, Bi-directional Vehicle Data Communication, and Connected Vehicle Data Platform.

A demo of Hortonworks Data Flow (HDF) solution, including bi-directional data communication, will be presented by Simon Elliston Ball, Solutions Engineer at Hortonworks.

The remainder of the meeting is dedicated to round table discussions on relevant topics and solutions to Big Data challenges, including:

  • Connected Vehicle Data Platform architecture
  • Secure Bi-directional Vehicle Data Communication
  • Proactive Vehicle Maintenance
  • Predictive Analytics for Warranty Management and Recalls.
