Be First: How Clearsense Leverages Big Data Analytics in Healthcare

Clearsense, based in Jacksonville, Florida, develops cloud-based applications based upon Hortonworks 100% open-source Connected Data Platforms. Its customers are hospitals and health systems, and its mission is to save people’s lives by giving providers and medical practitioners advanced notice of a patient’s deteriorating health.

Clearsense’s flagship product, Inception, is “designed specifically for the needs of healthcare providers…a secure, cloud-based healthcare data ecosystem that rapidly consumes data from an array of sources to provide a real-time, smart view of your healthcare environment.”

Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP®) and Hortonworks DataFlow (HDF™) provide the streaming analytics solutions in that cloud-native environment.

According to Jimmy Hurff, Chief Technology Officer at Clearsense, “We’re currently in the space of healthcare information technology, and there’s lots of other vendors in this space that are building both data storage and data analytic solutions. But with Hortonworks, and with Apache Hadoop, we have been able to Be First in the space of big data analytics in the healthcare industry.”

Hear Jimmy tell it himself in the video below:

Bob says:

I am confused. Is Hortonworks saying this company is the only company in healthcare using your platform?
