Helping Customers find Big Data Solutions in Vertical Industries with HDP

One of the fastest ways for customers to realize the benefit of Hadoop technology is by using it to solve relevant business challenges especially as they pertain to improving outcomes in their industry. Customers can accelerate their journey and obtain greater ROI by leveraging solutions and/or services that address challenges unique to their business.

For example, in the Financial Services industry, mitigating risk is critical. The Healthcare industry is searching for solutions to access new data for cutting-edge medical research. The Manufacturing industry wants to capture the flow of real-time sensor and machine data to improve yields. Retailers can increase sales through insights of their customer’s basket analysis. These unique use-cases require partners with proven solutions and/or expertise.

Industry Certified Program

To help customers identify proven HDP industry solutions and experts in the relevant verticals, Hortonworks is excited to announce the Industry Certified Program. This program highlights Industry Certified partners who have created repeatable solution(s) that address industry use cases or demonstrated advisory consulting and integration delivery services powered by HDP in a range of industries.

In all cases, Industry Certified partners have demonstrated customer satisfaction through achieving goals such as reduced costs, lower risk, improved efficiency or generation of new insights.

Industries

The Industry Certified program today will focus on Insurance, Health Care, Manufacturing, Telecom, Retail, Financial Services, Government and Oil & Gas.

Partner Support

The program is available to both Hortonworks Technology Partners (ISV/IHV) and System Integrators. This represents a large business opportunity for partners as they look to highlight their expertise and differentiate themselves in these vertical industries:

CapGemini

CapGemini, Hortonworks and Microsoft have enabled an Azure based cloud ecosystem with Office 365, Power BI, Azure DB and HDP 2.3 to allow Consumer Product (CPG) companies to incubate ideas and experiments in a low cost manner to prove out the value of Big Data before hardening and operationalizing it in their own environments.
