Hortonworks and SI’s: Unlocking the Power of Hadoop

Hadoop Summit is an industry-leading Hadoop community event for business leaders and technology experts (such as architects, data scientists and Hadoop developers) to learn about the technologies and business drivers transforming data. This year marks the 10th anniversary of Hadoop and we are celebrating!

More than 5,000 Hadoop and Big Data enthusiasts are expected to converge in Silicon Valley for the 2016 Hadoop Summit San Jose on June 28-30. We greatly appreciate the commitment that many of our valued Consulting and System Integrator partners have made to Hortonworks through their event sponsorship and participation.

Longtime Hortonworks partners, Impetus Technologies and Kyvos Insights are Platinum sponsors this year. As community choice winners for thought leadership sessions, they will be delivering four presentations on June 29 and 30 and exhibiting at Booth #1105. In addition to showcasing their full lifecycle Hadoop implementation services, Impetus will be demonstrating StreamAnalytix—a real-time streaming analytics application development platform that is integrated with Hortonworks DataFlow (HDF), and their Data Warehouse Modernization solution that accelerates data lake implementation by automating up to 80% of the effort.

Stop by Booth #307 to learn how Gold sponsor PwC is helping organizations unlock their data possibilities to make data-driven decisions. You can also catch PwC at its session: Future of Apache Hadoop: An Enterprise Architecture View, on June 29 at 3:00 pm.

Wipro is also a Gold sponsor of Hadoop Summit 2016 and will be participating in the ‘Modern Data Architecture’ track by community choice voting. Wipro will exhibit and demonstrate its open source Big Data product, Big Data Ready Enterprise (BDRE) at Booth #101, showing how to accelerate big data implementations.

Accenture and RCG are Silver event sponsors. Accenture will be presenting in the ‘Data Science, Analytics and Spark’ track on June 28 at 11:30 am. During the session, Accenture will discuss the difficulties with operationalizing analytics with Spark in the lambda architecture and how Accenture’s model management solution can address these concerns at scale. RCG provides industry-specific Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, and accelerated Big Data solutions (including architecture, security and governance necessary to expand to enterprise-wide readiness), and MPP data warehouse offload optimization. Visit RCG at Booth #108 to see innovative demonstrations for retail, hospitality, healthcare and insurance.

Saama is an Exhibitor this year. At Booth E16 Saama will show how Fluid Analytics can take Hadoop, combined with vertical expertise, to drive rapid adoption of advanced analytics into company-specific business processes in a matter of weeks. Cognizant is also represented, speaking on the Impact of the IoT on the future of unmanned aerial systems on June 29, at 3:00 pm.

Hortonworks collaborates with Consulting and Systems Integrators to help clients navigate big data decisions and unlock the broadest opportunities from Hadoop. Together, we help clients at all stages of Hadoop adoption, offering expertise in specific integrations such as analytics, data cleansing, financial and medical solutions.

With our alliance partners, we are building and delivering solutions to drive actionable intelligence from Big Data. Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP ™) and Hortonworks Data Flow (HDF) are also integrated in many of Hortonworks partner solutions, enabling us to offer modern data applications to clients across industry sectors.

  • I think this year’s Hadoop Summit will be very insightful. It has been 10 years for Hadoop and the technology is coming up the curve where it is becoming a priority for a CIO to have a data strategy with Hadoop.

We at Impetus are proud to be associated with Hadoop for 8 out of 10 years. Looking forward to sharing our contributions towards further adoption and utilization of Hadoop and its ecosystem with the community.
