Retail Data Analytics – A Hot Topic at NRF Big Show 2017!

The NRF Big Show is here and it’s no surprise that retail data analytics are a hot topic. It’s an exciting time for retailers as we continue to discover the power of data to improve our ability to personalize the customer experience, drive brand loyalty and increase sales. Two key trends are emerging – retailers are discovering cutting-edge techniques for effectively engaging millennials and improving the customer experience.

As always, NRF has a great line-up of speakers about the power of retail data analytics and how these techniques are truly disrupting the market and changing both in-store and on-line shopping experiences as well as engaging millenials through social media. Here are some of the don’t-miss talks.

Improving the customer experience

  • From Data to Delight: An Insight-Driven Revolution of the In-Store Experience – Be sure to catch this panel discussion with Mike Mauler (@GameStop) and Colin Watts (@The Vitamin Shoppe), two retail leaders are leveraging customer insights to better connect with customers. Facilitated by Rod Sides (Deloitte), this session will likely share best practices and key measurement criteria about how retail data analytics is enabling retailers to differentiate consumer experience by delivering highly personalized interactions.
  • Tailoring the 21 Century Customer Experience – I’m looking forward to hearing how Jodie Fox (@jodiefox) Drew Green (@INDOCHINO) are using retail data analytics to not only personalize the customer experience, but also leverage that personalized data to better understand their customers. This is a chance to understand how two hot new fashion brands are engaging millennials through retail data analytics to design their own shopping experience.

Engaging Millennials

  • Winning Today’s Socially Aware Customer – This will be a great panel discussion about engaging millennials by building trusted customer relationships. They will share their ideas on the latest retail data analytics strategies for connecting with these super savvy socially aware young consumers.  Panel members include: Tristan Pollock of 500 Startups, Christopher Cavigan of The Honest Company, and Lars Petersson, President of IKEA US.
