It’s been an amazing year of expansion for the Hadoop ecosystem. If you’re looking to use Hadoop in your infrastructure, see how these hundreds of amazing partners can help. If you would like to become a partner, come talk to us – we’d love to have you on-board.
The Hortonworks partner program has had a terrific year across many different measures not the least of which is the fact that the Hortonworks partner community grew by more than 240 percent. 2013 proved to be the year enterprises fully embraced our approach to the market, which is to drive Hadoop innovation within the open source community and with deep integration with our partners. We were both please and excited as partner support surpassed even our own high expectations.
The Hortonworks partner program is differentiated by the deep and broad engagement that helps technology partners bring tightly integrated and highly interoperable solutions to market. We collaborate deeply with our partners to co-engineer joint products for the Apache Hadoop market. Working hand-in-hand to write and contribute open source code, we and our partners are accelerating Hadoop’s role in the modern data architecture. This is one of the reasons that HDP is fast becoming the defacto platform for the ISV community.
Partners strongly supported our vision for the Modern Data Architecture (MDA) through our reference architectures, our webinar series and by creating tutorials for the Hortonworks Sandbox. The webinar series had tens of thousands of registrants interested in hearing how various technologies interoperate with Hadoop. The Sandbox proved to be an extremely powerful way to show how partner technologies work with Hadoop.
Through strategic partnerships with Microsoft and Red Hat, HDP is the only Hadoop distribution available on Windows and Linux.
Many of the largest IT vendors in the world selected Hortonworks Data Platform as their preferred way to bring Hadoop to the enterprise. In 2013, Hortonworks entered new reseller agreements with the following industry leaders:
Hortonworks partners brought to market new products based on HDP as on-premise and cloud offerings enabling organizations to consume Hadoop in the broadest possible combination of platforms and enabling application and data portability not available with any other Hadoop distribution. Select partner offerings based on HDP made generally available in 2013 include:
We also continued to expand our strategic relationships with partners such as Splunk and SAS through new joint engineering efforts, as well as Red Hat and Mirantis, jointly working on Project Savanna via OpenStack for even more Hadoop integration.
Thank you again to the Hortonworks partner community and the Hadoop ecosystem in general. We look forward to a fantastic 2014 of continued success.
