Last month I had the opportunity to visit United Network for Sharing (UNOS), the private, non-profit organization managing the United States organ transplant system. UNOS exists to enable timely, life-saving organ transplants.
UNOS uses Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP™) to optimize their enterprise data warehouse and to streamline their Organ Offer Reports for transplant centers and organ procurement organizations. They’re one of a growing number of companies in the healthcare sector leveraging Hortonworks and HDP to save lives.
The purpose of my visit was to film two videos about the UNOS Big Data journey. We just published the first video, featuring Alex Tulchinsky, their Chief Technology Officer. Check it out!
To learn more about how UNOS leverages HDP to save lives, check out the case study.
