Title: VP, Product Marketing
Location: Santa Clara, CA.
The VP, Product and Solutions Marketing partners with our demand marketing, sales, sales engineering, product management and engineering teams to deliver effective messages and tools that represent the value of our product and solutions to the market. They take an active role in the brainstorming and development of product launch materials, product positioning, messaging, external collateral, sales tools, presentations, press and analyst briefings, and other market-facing activities.
They are a key contributor and will take an active role in the following responsibilities:
The “right” candidate
Strong experience in product marketing within enterprise software is essential. The right candidate is a systematic, responsible, self-starter. Hortonworks is a fast-growing, dynamic environment and execution is the key to our success. The right candidate will build a repeatable process to operationalize his/her business. They will have strong program management skills with demonstrated ability to coordinate and prioritize many simultaneous projects/activities, while keeping stakeholders updated on schedules and timelines.
*10+ years of product marketing expertise focusing on data analytics as well as experience working with industrial and sensor data.
* BA/BS required, MBA preferred
* Proven capability to cultivate value from complicated technology and demonstrated ability to communicate clearly in front of enterprise sales team
* Experience creating and executing marketing plans and marketing/sales materials.
* Proven ability to deliver content including presentations, sales guides, webinars, blog posts, web content and white papers
* Ability to work both with teams, and across multiple teams of members without reporting responsibility to influence and command the respect of individuals around the company
* Strong analytical and synthesis skills, high intellectual power
