Manager, Premier Support

Support | Bangalore, India Mumbai

Hortonworks is rapidly growing company with exciting opportunities ahead. We are looking for someone to help grow our Premier support team in APAC region. In this role, you’ll manage a team of Premier Support Engineers. These engineers are responsible for providing personalized, proactive support and guidance to ensure our customer are successful. Your responsibility as the Premier support manager to provide team with the skills and direction they need to ensure success support our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and drive a team of premier support engineers juggling the demands for multiple concurrent client engagements
  • Identify ways we can proactively support and continuous engage the customer to ensure renewals 
  • Provide guidance and feedback both technically and non-technically to ensure professional and responsive communication
  • Keep a pulse on all our customers within the region to ensure they are getting the right level of support
  • Manage customer escalations and collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer success
  • Ensure we are continuously designing and developing best practices and adding to our knowledge base
  • Identify potential customers and work with our internal teams account to introduce Premier in their environment

 Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  • 3  years’ experience in Hadoop
  • 5 years of technical support or enterprise account management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage technical projects and processes
  • Ability manage remote employees
  • Ability to collaborate and partner with internal teams
  • Demonstrated creative problem solving ability
  • Professional oral, presentation, and written communication skills
  • Open Source experience is preferred
