Channels & Alliances Director EMEA

Sales - Indirect | London, UK

Optimizing the interaction of Hortonworks direct sales organization and our eco-system partners in the Region. The Manager of EMEA Channels & Alliances will play two key roles in the optimization process. 

One, work with Corporate BD to help rollout enablement plans and go to market plans with our Strategic & Tier 1 partnerships within the region. This includes participating in the development and execution of sales enablement plans and joint marketing activities. Additionally, the Director of Regional Channels & Alliances will own the Regional SI partnerships within the region in terms of defining the strategy with each partner and the enablement plan. 

Second, coordinate the engagement and interaction between the HWX sales teams and the partner sales teams within the region to maximize joint selling opportunities and account penetration. Activities will include sales organization alignment and account mapping and pipeline tracking/management.

The optimal candidate will have the following skills and experience.

  1. 10+ years sales oriented background in enterprise software
  2. 5+ years proven business development/alliance experience with quantifiable results building the field execution with key partners.
  3. Proven experience building and managing sales partnership with alliance partners
  4. Excellent organizational and communication skills
  5. Proven success working in very fast moving and dynamic environments with high-powered sales teams.
  6. Proven success building and executing partnerships with Systems Integrators and ISVs.


Security roles and responsibilities shall include the following requirements: 

  1. implement and act in accordance with the organization's information security policies; 
    ii. protect assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference; 
    iii. execute particular security processes or activities; 
    iv. ensure responsibility is assigned to the individual for actions taken; and 
    v. report security events or potential events or other security risks to the organization.
