As a Sales Sourcer at Hortonworks, you are vital to the overall success of the Recruiting organization. The right person will have an incredible grasp on how to manage the sourcing life cycle for roles across various lines of business. In this role, you’ll need to build a strategic partnership with the business unit hiring managers to ensure we are hiring the “A” players. If you're an A-Team player with an eye for talent who loves connecting people and opportunities, this is the role for you.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct necessary research to build a qualified and diverse talent pool.
  • Execute sourcing strategies and recruiting campaigns that will target the top talent in the industry
  • Conduct initial phone interviews to assess candidate's skills, experience and interest 
  • Partner with Staffing team to provide a great candidate experience and act as a candidate advocate 
  • Develop a knowledge base of market research and a candidate contact database 
  • Implement ongoing improvements to sourcing efforts. 
  • Manage weekly and monthly reports for management

Your Skills/Experience:

  • At least 3 years proven Sales search experience in an agency search firm, start-up or corporate environment (agency preferred)
  • Experience sourcing top 10% Sales talent, preferably, in the areas of application software, data management, analytics, open-source, cloud infrastructure or related technologies
  • Knowledge and experience in a wide range of current sourcing strategies, practices and trends and the ability to grasp new technologies 
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide strong consultative skills throughout the search process 
  • Ideal candidate will be self-directed and highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency 
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage competing demands 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Hadoop/Big Data/OpenSource/IoT technologies is a plus
  • Experience with Greenhouse ATS is a plus
