Hortonworks is currently seeking an exceptional Business Development Representative to directly assist the sales team with selling our support, services, and cloud offerings. This strategic role will be responsible for the first voice conversation a customer typically has with Hortonworks.
Our Ideal Candidate:
The Business Development team works hand-in-hand with marketing and outside sales to deliver a world-class customer experience. Daily work will include working with an assigned regional field team to focus on strategic accounts, as well as coordinating with Marketing on demand-gen efforts. This is a high performance team, so the ideal candidate should be good at working against goals and be competitive. As a driver of annual support subscriptions, you will be responsible for guiding the customer conversation and ultimately providing qualifying information to sales. This experience will be a great platform for an Business Development Representative to learn the open source business model and grow in his/hers career. In addition, this is a good proving ground for moving to a field sales role.
