Hortonworks is looking for a polished and dynamic  Associate Resource Management [Executive Admin/ Admin Assistant] whose professionalism will enable him or her to 'jump in' and take the initiative on a variety of administrative projects. This position will report to the Professional Services Regional Vice President for Asia Pacific, Japan and Middle East.  This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter to develop and grow a career in Professional Services Consulting and Education.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high level administrative support to Professional Services Management, including all aspects of heavy travel management and maintaining demanding, ever-changing calendars
  • Ability to anticipate needs, plan ahead and implement accordingly
  • Coordinate teleconference, on and off site meetings in various cities and all logistics involved
  • Support expense report submissions and reconcile credit card statements
  • Perform staff and resource management data entry using office productivity suite
  • Perform special projects as time allows and as required. 

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting management personnel, ideally within a software or consulting organization.  
  • Must be computer proficient, especially in managing email and calendars (Outlook), word processing (Word), spreadsheets (Excel) and presentation applications (PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Apple Mac hardware and software is desired
  • Must enjoy managing constantly fluctuating calendars and travel arrangements. This will require you to be on-site daily and available from time to time before and after normal business hours in response to the broad geography support
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously with the ability to prioritize (and reprioritize) and work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies and/or how to maneuver to work around existing technology limitations
  • Interest and experience in using technology and the Internet to improve work efficiency
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills spoken and written – including excellent grammar and spelling
  • Comfortable working with diverse stakeholder groups
  • Strong attention to detail

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in administrative and general office duties; and/or
  • Demonstrated experience in project coordination in a services oriented organization.
