Senior Sales Operations Analyst

Senior Sales Operations Analyst 

Location: Cork, Ireland

This role will work as part of our Operations team based in Cork, reporting into Sales Operations Manager and will support our Enterprise Sales across EMEA & APAC. 

The role is a mix of internal sales support, data & systems analysis and business process improvement. We would ideally like a MIS/BIS/Business graduate with c. 5-10 years’ experience in an analytical role – e.g. business analysis, financial planning, compensation or financial analysis experience, which has a strong mix of data analysis, systems analysis, process improvement and sales support. 
This is a highly critical role we are looking for a self-starter who can work in a very close-knit team within an extremely fast paced and changing environment. 

  • The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills as this is an internal-customer facing role
  • Strong understanding of Sales Forecasting models & processes.
  • Previous experience of using CRM tools such as Salesforce.com
  • Must have excellent MS Office experience, in particular MS Excel
  • Flexibility to work at End of Quarter
  • Prior experience in Software/Services/Open Source Technologies would be a distinct advantage

 

 Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develops reporting requirements to resolve a variety of business-related problems. Develops reports and data requirements to optimize analysis capability.
  • Develops and maintains business models, business cases, and financial forecasting tools. Conducts trend/root cause analysis. Documents business case analysis and translates business requirements into process/functional design/system solutions.
  • Tracks performance of the International Sales organizations against strategic and tactical objectives and feed information back into Senior Leadership.
  • Identification, Analysis and Development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and key business reporting to support the Hortonworks Business
  • Streamline processes, implement and develops best practices through utilization of business intelligence and business acumen. Communicates processes and results to Senior Leadership.
  • Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.
  • Working with our in house BI tool, maintenance of data mapping and developing on demand reporting
  • Participates in and drives strategic discussions around business activities. Identifies and recommends productivity improvement opportunities.
  • Represent EMEA & APAC in Global Operational discussions ensuring the requirements of the local theaters are being represented at a Global level.
  • Maintenance of key master data management within Hortonworks CRM and supporting systems.
  • Development of support & training materials and documentation for Hortonworks Sales Organizations.
  • Streamline processes, implement and develops best practices through utilization of business intelligence and business acumen. Communicates processes and results to Senior Leadership.
  • Participates in and drives strategic discussions around business activities. Identifies and recommends productivity improvement opportunities.
  • Manages projects through completion including project tracking, monitoring, reporting, and administration. Ensure standard portfolio processes are met.
  • Evaluates business process implications of system requirements and make appropriate redesign recommendations.

 Qualifications:

  • Broad experience and understanding of business operations/sales operations.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize, maintain attention to detail, and work under critical timeframes.
  • Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to interface effectively and establish quick credibility and confidence with cross-functional groups and Senior Leadership.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including sales management, external organizations, internal business units and customers.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Power Point
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Basic understanding of Hortonworks/Open Source technology and platforms.
  • Working knowledge of com CRM Solution preferred.
  • Education Required: Bachelors Degree
  • Experience Required: 5-10 years’ relevant experience.
