Tokyo, Japan — October 13, 2016 — Host Hortonworks® (NASDAQ:HDP) today announced the first Hadoop Summit Japan taking place in Tokyo. Hadoop Summit is the premier industry event for those seeking insight and best practices about the transformational impact of big data on organizations. The conference will take place October 26th – 27th, 2016 at the Hilton Hotel in Tokyo and features more than 60 speakers across 48 sessions.

Attendees with both business and technical perspectives will learn about the big data enablers, including Apache™ Hadoop® and Apache Spark that are fueling digital transformations. With successful events already this year in Ireland, USA, and Australia, Hadoop Summit has become the go-to event providing  the global community-vetted practical guidance to novices as well as experienced data practitioners.

“The enterprises of today are undergoing significant digital transformation powered by Connected Data Platforms and modern data applications,” said Shaun Connolly, chief strategy officer, Hortonworks. “We are excited to extend community driven business and technical best practices to the North Asia region and thank all of our customers, partners and the community for their support.”
