Fifth Annual Event to Feature Best and Brightest from Apache Hadoop Community in 84 Breakout Sessions Over Two Days
SUNNYVALE, Calif.—April 3, 2012—Hadoop Summit 2012, the original and world’s largest Apache Hadoop community event, today announced that the program is available and that the Summit will feature Geoffrey Moore, best-selling author of “Crossing the Chasm” and “Escape Velocity,” as the keynote speaker. The two-day event will feature 84 breakout sessions focused on key projects and research efforts driving innovation in and around the Hadoop ecosystem. The best and brightest minds from the Apache Hadoop community will showcase real-world examples of how Apache Hadoop is enabling businesses across a variety of markets to become more data driven. Attendees will learn about the latest industry developments, administrative tips and tricks, common mistakes to avoid, and best practices for utilizing Hadoop today. They will come away with insight into the future direction of Apache Hadoop as the next-generation data platform expected to process 50 percent of the world’s data by 2015.
The Hadoop Summit program was chosen by a content selection committee composed of 36 thought leaders representing 27 different organizations.
