PALO ALTO, Calif.—Nov. 19, 2014—Hortonworks®, the leading contributor to and provider of enterprise Apache™ Hadoop®, today announced the addition of Kevin M. Klausmeyer to its board of directors. Mr. Klausmeyer serves as the chairman of the company’s audit committee and a member of the compensation committee. Klausmeyer actually joined the board in August 2014, commensurate with the confidential filing of the Hortonworks’ S-1 registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

From April 2013 to October 2013, Klausmeyer served on the board of directors of Sourcefire, Inc., a provider of network security solutions (acquired by Cisco Systems). In both of these posts, Klausmeyer chaired the respective audit committees. From July 2006 to February 2011, Klausmeyer served as the chief financial officer of The Planet, Inc., a hosting and cloud-based solutions company (acquired by Softlayer Technologies, Inc. which was acquired by IBM). Klausmeyer currently serves on the boards of directors of Callidus Software Inc., a provider of software-as-a-service sales and marketing automation solutions, and of various privately-held companies. Klausmeyer holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration in accounting from the University of Texas.
