Hortonworks Honored Winner in Microsoft Enterprise Partner Group Cloud Partner of the Year Awards

Hortonworks Recognized for Data Platform and Delivering Big Data Solutions that Drive Meaningful Business for Shared Customers

SANTA CLARA, Calif.—July 9, 2015—Hortonworks, Inc.® (NASDAQ: HDP), a leading contributor to and provider of enterprise Apache™ Hadoop®, today announced that it has won the Enterprise Partner Group Cloud Partner of the Year award at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in Orlando for both the U.S. West and Central regions.

Recognized for Hortonworks’ efforts to bring the benefits of Apache Hadoop to Microsoft Azure and Windows, the company offers Hadoop for hybrid cloud architectures delivering enterprise grade solutions that integrate deeply with Microsoft tools and applications. The Microsoft Partner Conference Awards program recognizes companies who have delivered exemplary solutions built on Microsoft technologies. Microsoft has recognized the sales traction generated through its collaborations. The Hortonworks collaboration demonstrates the business results realized through a focus on delivering enterprise grade solutions for Apache Hadoop.
