The HDPCSD : Apache Spark Exam

Hortonworks University is excited to announce a new hands-on, performance-based certification for Spark on the Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP). Our industry-recognized certifications are unique because candidates perform actual tasks on a live installation of our products, instead of simply guessing at multiple-choice questions. Being able to prove your skills allows you to distinguish yourself as an experienced and capable professional in the big data workplace.

The Spark certification exam is designed for developers responsible for developing Spark Core and Spark SQL applications in Scala or Python.

The exam is offered on both Hortonworks Data Platform 2.6 installed managed with Ambari 2.6 and Hortonworks Data Platform 3.0 ,managed with Ambari 2.7, which includes Spark 2. Each candidate will be given access to an HDP cluster along with a list of tasks to be performed on that cluster.

To be fully prepared for the HDP Certified Spark Developer exam, candidates should be able to complete all of the exam objectives.

How to Register

Follow the steps below to register for an exam. Our hands-on exams leverage virtual machines and require a high-speed internet connection. *

Visit the Certification Exam Frequently Asked Questions to review important requirements and guidelines. We also recommend you have at minimum 8 GB of RAM on your computer, but highly recommend 16 GB.
