Data is mission critical for Rogers Communications, but it was in various data silos. This led the company to turn to Hortonworks Data Platform to store its data. Rogers is now using HDP to collect wireless cable and media data to build a 360 view of its customers, to improve the customer experience. Rogers has also built an integrated customer operation dashboard, updated in real-time with data processed through HDF. The future vision involves a hybrid data architecture, on-premises and cloud, and a decreased EDW footprint.
